£20m to reduce Northern Ireland crime

Justice Minister David Ford has announced that a £20million pot has been created to tackle crime in Northern Ireland via various projects.

The money has been generated in part by using money and assets retrieved from criminals in Northern Ireland, and will fund a community safety strategy that will cover a range of areas. Among those are crimes against the elderly, domestic violence, anti-social behaviour, and sectarian trouble at interface areas.

If you have been accused of a criminal offence in Northern Ireland you will need a solicitor for advice and representation in both the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court cases. Wilson Nesbitt Solicitors provide a 24 hour police station call-out service to all police stations in Northern Ireland.
