Second Man City player banned from driving

Footballers at Manchester City are fast running out of options for a lift, with a two players banned from driving in the same week.

Samir Nasri is the latest player to receive a driving ban; Carlos Tevez having been convicted of driving while banned on Wednesday. Mr Nasri's car was clocked speeding three times, and while the original conviction was overturned, a second investigation resulted in a conviction with a £2,100 fine and a six-month ban.

After the initial conviction Mr Nasri signed a declaration saying he was not aware that his Mercedes car had been caught on speed cameras three times in 2011. At the second investigation he pleaded guilty to three charges of failing to provide the identity of driver.
