Dangerous driving charge for NI man after hit-and-run

A 23 year old man from Londonderry in Northern Ireland has been charged with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, driving without a licence, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

The man is suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run incident which took place at Creggan Heights in Derry. A seven-year-old girl was knocked down by a blue motorcycle on Friday 7th June, and is in 'serious but stable' condition in Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

A second man, aged 21, was arrested on Saturday and released on bail.
